DJA Planning was established in 2004 by Diane J Aldridge, a Chartered Town Planner with over 25 years’ experience.
Whatever the scale and complexity of development proposals, professional advice from a planning consultant is essential at an early stage to assess the chances of a successful outcome, consider the best strategy and tactics and address the planning issues in order to try and avoid problems later in the process. DJA Planning has experience in dealing with any and all aspects of the UK planning system and Diane will personally manage every aspect of the work, whatever the size or scope of your project.
Diane started her planning career working for London Docklands Development Corporation, managing a wide variety of planning projects. Choosing to focus on working in the private sector, she then spent eight years as a planning consultant with GVA and a further eight years at Vail Williams - both leading commercial property agents offering a comprehensive range of real estate services to all sectors across the UK.
Although based in the South East of England, Diane has gained extensive knowledge and experience of town planning issues across the country. She has advised on major development projects, including master planning and urban regeneration schemes, and large scale residential and commercial developments as well as smaller scale domestic proposals. She has promoted land through the Local Plan process and has considerable experience of working with listed buildings and handling sensitive conservation proposals as well as dealing with enforcement matters and appeals. She is also very experienced in coordinating the work of other professionals and specialist consultants including Architects, Historic Buildings & Archaeology Consultants, Property and Land Surveyors, Ecologists, Arboriculturalists, Flood Risk Engineers, Landscape Architects and Highways Consultants and has instructed Barristers using the Direct Access procedure.
